The judicial custody of Zubair Khan, allegedly working for Pakistani intelligence agency and arrested with Indian army secrets, was on Wednesday extended till August 22 by a Delhi court.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Vidya Prakash extended Zubair's custody after the police submitted the investigation in the matter was on.
Zubair was arrested on July 17 by the anti-extortion cell of crime branch and found in possession of secret documents relating to Indian army which he claimed were to be supplied to an 'agent' of the Pakistan high commission in New Delhi.
A resident of Kakrala village in Uttar Pradesh, Zubair had during his interrogation disclosed that he was working for a Pakistan intelligence agency, police claimed.
The police had earlier told the court that Zubair was in contact with some officials of Pakistan high commission in New Delhi and that the recovered documents were to be handed over to that agent of the commission.
The police are trying to unearth the entire conspiracy and also working on identifying the persons who had supplied him the secret documents.
