Prabodh Singh Sadar was killed in an encounter in Baguidih village in Bodam police station of East Singhbhum, DIG (Kolhan) Manoj Mishra said.

The police surrounded the house of Sadar's in-laws in Baguidih in East Singbhum district when he came to visit them. Sources said an encounter ensued after Sadar and others opened fire at the police who asked him to surrender.

Sadar was killed in the encounter after police retaliated, the police said.
