J&K: Five injured in grenade explosion

At least five persons, including three policemen, were injured when militants exploded a grenade at Kathidarwaza locality of downtown Rainawari area around Saturday noon, official sources said.

According to sources, militants tossed a grenade on a police patrolling party outside Chhatti Padshahi gurdwara in the area. All injured have been admitted to hospital and their condition was stated to be stable, they said, adding that security forces had immediately cordoned off the area to nab the militants involved in the attack.

No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the explosion.
