Security forces foiled an infiltration bid in the Keran sector of the Line of Control early on Sunday morning and killed two intruding terrorists.
"Army troops guarding the LoC detected the group trying to infiltrate to the Indian side, in the Keran sector. The intruders were challenged upon which they opened fire, triggering a gunfight that ended after the two intruders were killed," defence spokesman Lieutenant Colonel J S Brar told rediff.com .
"Searches in the area are still going on and the identity of the terrorists is being established," he added. Last month security forces had foiled an infiltration bid in the same sector of the LoC in north Kashmir Kupwara district and killed eight infiltrating terrorists.
