The coalition government of the Congress and the National Conference in Kashmir is set for a massive cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday.

According to sources, all NC ministers, advisors and heads of various boards have submitted their resignations to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to allow him a free hand in the reshuffle.

Congress ministers have also submitted their resignations, said sources.

The re-constitution of the council of ministers will take place on Tuesday afternoon at the Raj Bhavan when Governor N N Vohra will administer the oath of office to the new ministry.

The reshuffle, the first since the formation of the coalition government under Omar Abdullah, has been in the pipeline for a long time.

According to sources, some senior NC ministers may be assigned party work ahead of the assembly elections next year.
