J&K: CRPF trooper wounded in militant ambush

A paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force trooper was seriously wounded when militants ambushed a road-opening party of the CRPF near Potkah village in north Kashmir's Sopore town, 54 kilometers from Jammu and Kashmir capital Srinagar, on Thursday afternoon, a senior police officer told rediff.com

He said the trooper was evacuated to a hospital for treatment, and the area was cordoned off after the attack.
