Jaya shocks BJP; wants Sangma to quit Prez race

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief J Jayalalithaa seems to be having second thoughts about backing P A Sangma for the President's post.

According to sources, the Tamil Nadu chief minister, in a telephone conversation with veteran BJP leader L K Advani on Wednesday, reportedly said that Sangma should withdraw from the presidential race after filing his nomination.

A
shocked BJP is now taking stock of the situation. 

Advani had called Jayalalithaa to request her presence in New Delhi when Sangma files his nomination for the presidential polls.

However, turning down the request, Jayalalithaa claimed that she is undergoing medical treatment in Kodanadu for a month because of which she could not travel.
