J&K: 3 jawans commit suicide

Three army jawans committed suicide in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir since Thursday night, official sources said on Friday.

Sadeepa Balki, a jawan attached to 115 Territorial Army battalion, committed suicide by firing from his own service rifle in Khanetar belt of Poonch district early on Friday morning.

Lance Naik V K Bahumukh ended his life by hanging himself in his room in an army camp in Dhar road area of Udhampur district on Thursday night, they said.

Another jawan, Lance Naik Tanaji committed suicide by hanging himself in a bathroom at Kunjwani army camp in Jammu district on Friday.

The reason behind the suicides is believed to be stress, they said adding that separate cases have been registered in this regard.
