Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management: Admission to MBA Programmes for Academic Session 2004-2005

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology & Management, Gwalior, invites applications for admission to the following programmes:

1. Master of Business Administration.

2. MBA IT Enabled Services.

3. MBA Infrastructure Management.

4. MBA Public Services Management & E-Governance.

5. MBA Non-Formal Sector Management.

Eligibility: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or Master's degree in Computer Applications recognized by AICTE with at last 60% marks or an equivalent grade, if grades are awarded (6.75 CGPA if grades are awarded on a 10-point scale). Candidates appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination may also apply. Students appearing for their final examination in the academic session 2003-04 are also eligible to apply.

Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in group discussion, interview, academic record and work experience.

The request must be accompanied by a 9cm x 4cm self-addressed envelope bearing a stamp of Rs 45 and a demand draft for Rs 500 (Rs 250 for SC/ST/PH candidates) drawn in favour of Director, ABV-IIITM Gwalior, payable at Gwalior.

Jaypee University of Information Techonology: Admission Announcement 2004

The Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh, was established under Act 14 of 2002 of the Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly and is approved under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission Act 1956. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities.

JUIT, Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh, and its constituent centres at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and Jaypee Institute of Engineering & Technology, Raghogarh, Guna, Madhya Pradesh, are sponsored by the Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan (a not-for-profit trust),

and fully backed by the Jaypee group of companies, which recognizes the role of IT and emerging technologies in improving the quality of life of the people in India.

Student Selection Process : Admission to Four-Year undergraduate programs in Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Chemical Engineering, and Civil Infrastructure Engineering for academic year 2004-05 will be made on the basis of AIEEE 2004 ranking.

Seats in all programs will be allotted in order of AIEEE 2004 merit and on the basis of the preferences indicated at the time of JUIT counseling.

Number of Seats : The total number of seats for the academic year 2004-05 will be 1,140 for the four-year UG programs, with 540 at Noida, 360 at Waknaghat and 240 at Guna. This number may change depending on the academic profiles of the candidates. At JUIT Waknaghat, 5% additional seats over and above the normal intake capacity will be allotted to bonafide students of the state of Himachal Pradesh who have passed the qualifying examination from institutions located in Himachal Pradesh. However, these seats also will be filled based on All India merit of AIEEE 2004.

Eligibility Criteria: The minimum academic qualification for admission to anyone of the UG programs is a pass in the 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates with a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology but no Mathematics are eligible only for the Biotechnology and Bioinformatics programs. Those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1983 and have passed 10+2 or its equivalent exam not before 2001 or appearing in 2004 are only eligible to apply.

Candidates must produce certificate of proof of his/her date of birth and qualifying examination at the time of counseling failing, which they will be disqualified.

If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission to the University, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. The decision of the admissions committee of JUIT regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Fee Structure

Tuition Fee: Rs 30,000 per semester

IDF Fee: Rs 25,000 per annum

Caution Money Deposit: Rs 10,000 one-time deposit (Refundable at end of the program)

Hostel and Mess Charges: Rs 25,000 per semester

At the time of counseling, an amount of Rs 40,000 (Rs 30,000 towards tuition fee for the first semester and Rs 10,000 towards Caution Deposit) is to be paid through demand draft drawn in favour of the Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan payable at New Delhi. The fee amount and the payment structure may be revised from time to time.
