Joint Entrance Examination 2004

The Joint Entrance Examination is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses at IIT Bombay/IIT Delhi/IIT Guwahati/IIT Kanpur/IIT Kharagpur/IIT Madras/IIT Roorkee/Instiute of Technology BHU, Varanasi and the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

JEE 2004 will be conducted as per the following schedule:

1. Screening Test: April 18, 2004.

2. Main Examination: May 23, 2004.

Minimum Qualification:

10+2 or an equivalent examination, or a three/four year diploma recognised by AICTE or by a State Board of Technical Education. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examinations in 2004 may also apply; proof of having passed such an examination has to be produced on or before September 30, 2004.

Age Limit:

General/DS candidates: Date of birth not earlier than October 1, 1979.

SC/ST/PH candidates: Date of birth not earlier than October 1, 1974.

Details regarding application procedure, syllabus for JEE, examination centres, courses of study available at various institutions and other relevant information are given in the booklet with the application form.

Application material can be obtained from designated branches of The Canara Bank, Union Bank of India, State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank on payment of Rs 600 (Rs 300 for SC/ST candidates).
