The Army killed two militants who were trying to infiltrate into India in Kupwara district on Wednesday morning.
A group of heavily-armed militants tried to sneak into the Indian side at Tangdhar, 140 kms from Srinagar, a defence spokesman said. On noticing their movement, troops challenged them and in the subsequent encounter, two militants were killed.
The encounter was still going on when the last reports came in.
