The Central Bureau of Investigation, which is probing the sensational Sheena Bora murder case, on Saturday told a special court in Mumbai that prime accused Indrani Mukerjea had informed her husband and former media magnate Peter Mukerjea about killing her daughter on April 24, 2012.

"Indrani has admitted that she had told Peter about her daughter Sheena's murder on April 24, 2014, the day when the crime took place," the agency told Special CBI judge H S Mahajan while replying to Peter Mukerjea's bail application.

"Indrani had revealed this while recording her statement (before CBI) on December 15 last year," CBI said.

The agency opposed the bail of Peter, who was arrested in the case in November last year, on the ground that he was part of the murder conspiracy and had concealed information about the victim's disappearance from his son and Sheena's fiance Rahul.

"Peter was in touch with prime accused and his wife Indrani from the day of Sheena's murder and till her body was disposed the next day," it said.

"He was also part of the conspiracy and had concealed the fact (about Sheena's death) from his son Rahul Mukerjea," it added.

The agency also informed the court that certain important documents (including that of financial transactions in the case) are under its scrutiny and the investigation was still going on.

The court adjourned the hearing on Peter's bail application till January 30.

Meanwhile, Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai were on Saturday produced in the court, where Indrani's daughter Vidhie (with Sanjeev Khanna), relatives of Khanna and brother and other relatives of Peter were present.

The CBI is likely to file its reply on the bail application filed by Indrani's fromer husband Sanjeev Khanna, filed through his lawyer Shreyansh Mithare, on January 30.

The court also directed the CBI to file its reply on Indrani's application seeking her medical reports from the state-run J J hospital.

In his bail application filed though his lawyer Kushal Mor, Peter had said that CBI had found no evidence to justify his arrest, although it had his custody for 11 days and even subjected him to psycho-analysis and polygraph tests.

Peter had also dismissed the charge that he misled his son Rahul about Sheena's whereabouts after her "disappearance".

The bail application also said that Peter was in the UK from April 23 to 26, 2012, with Vidhie (Indrani's daughter from marriage with Khanna), adding that mere phone calls between him and Indrani in this period do not suggest conspiracy.

Sheena Bora (24), daughter of prime accused Indrani from an earlier relationship, was murdered allegedly by her, Sanjeev Khanna and Shyamvar Rai on April 24, 2012.

Peter, 59, husband of Indrani, was arrested on November 19 for his alleged role in the murder case and was in CBI custody.

He has been kept at the high-security Arthur Road Jail here, where other two accused in the case -- Sanjeev Khanna and Shyamvar Rai -- are also lodged.

The CBI, while maintaining that financial transaction was the motive behind the murder of Sheena, had earlier said that Peter, during his interrogation, disclosed investments of crores of rupees made by him and Indrani and is expecting information from Interpol on the details of an account opened by Indrani in a bank in Hong Kong.
