Important that BJP loses in Bihar: Kejriwal

November 04, 2015 11:17 IST

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said it was important that the Bharatiya Janata Party loses the assembly elections in Bihar so that it realises that “hate politics” will not work in the country.

“It is important that BJP lose Bihar so that they know that hate politics will not work in this country. People want love and peace, not hate,” he said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Reiterating his support for the state’s chief minister and Janata Dal-United’s Nitish Kumar, Kejriwal urged people of Bihar to vote for him.

“I appeal all to call up their relatives and friends in Bihar and ask them to vote for Nitish Kumar,” he said in a tweet in Hindi.

The last phase of the Bihar polls will be held on Thursday.

The results will be out on November 8.

Kejriwal had last month too predicted a clean sweep for Nitish Kumar’s grand alliance in Bihar in a fiercely contested assembly elections.

“According to my information, Modi ji is losing Bihar elections badly. Nitish Ji is winning the polls,” he had tweeted.

Though the Delhi chief minister has not addressed any election rally in Bihar, he has expressed his support to Nitish Kumar, who is seeking a third term in the state.
