The Intelligence Bureau has, according to highly placed sources, warned the Kerala government about the presence of several Bangladeshis who are illegally staying in areas surrounding Kochi.

The state police had recently arrested a person from Perumbavoor, who hailed from Bangladesh and did not have any proper documents.

The police has also recovered counterfeit currency notes from his possesion.

The IB has already given its report to the Kerala home minister, detailing the grave security threat these Bangladeshis pose.

The central agencies had earlier warned the Kerala government about the presence of a large numbers of migrant labourers who use Kerala as their hideout.
