"Another day wasted in Parliament. It hasn't used institution of marshals in Parliament since 2004 to make it function. High time they did," Singh remarked on the micro-blogging community site Twitter.
The Congress general secretary's tweet came as the first week of the winter session was a complete wash out due to frequent interruptions on a variety of issues ranging from price rise, corruption to Foreign Direct Investment in retail
In another tweet, Singh wondered whether there was a connect between the statement of Bhartiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha that rising prices could lead to violence and Anna Hazare's remark of "only one slap" over the assault on Union Minister Sharad Pawar.
"Strongly condemn cowardly attack on Sharad Pawarji. Yashwant Sinha's statement, this incident, Anna's reaction. Is there a connect," Singh asked.
"Never expected Anna to react the way he did to Sharad Pawar incident. It certainly was not a Gandhian Reaction."
In two more tweets, Singh continued the argument. "Tie up people and beat them up if they drink liquor, send people to mental asylum whom you don't agree, hang people without trial. Are we moving into a fascist mode? Throw rose petals on police officers accused in false encounter, beat up people whom you don't agree with," he said.
