The Andhra Pradesh government will come under tremendous pressure on Thursday, when it hears a petition, with a directive to provide visuals of Sathya Sai Baba in hospital.

A petition, filed by high court advocate Kommireddy Azad, has asked the government to disclose facts regarding the Baba's health. The petition alleges that authorities at the Sathya Sai Super Specialty Hospital and the Sathya Sai Central Trust were not giving a true picture of the Baba's health.

The petition adds that the government and members of the trust should make visuals of the Baba in the hospital available to the general public. Sources in the government say that no announcement will be easy to make since this is a highly emotive issue.

However the government contends that they are not hiding anything from the public and the medical bulletins which are being issued daily by the hospital are true.

Meanwhile, there are certain issues within the Satya Sai trust which the government would like to solve before any major decision is taken.

There are certain issues with the accounts and the question of who will be the Baba's successor remain a major concern. Although the government has made it clear that it would not take over the trust, it still wants to ensure that the transition is peaceful and free of controversies.
