A team from Gujarat, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh is in Bangalore to join the probe by the city police into the recent blasts outside the Chinnaswamy stadium even as police chief Ajai Kumar Singh on Tuesday hinted at the involvement of both terror elements and the betting lobby.

The police officials from the three states are collecting material regarding the blasts that took place in the city on Saturday last. They are also trying to ascertain whether the attack has any similarities with the attacks in their state.

The Kerala Police will, however, have a larger role to play in the investigations since it is suspected that modules from that state could have carried out the operation as was done in the year 2008 when a series of bombs took off in which one person was killed.

Meanwhile, an independent team of the Intelligence Bureau too is looking into the matter and is likely to submit a report.

Addressing the media at his office on Tuesday, the state police chief said it was too early to say if it was a terror attack. "Please don't speculate anything, as we are still looking into the matter. We have stumbled upon some clues and will let you know when something more comes up. I am not aware whether these blasts were connected to the ones that occurred in Pune as it is too early to say. We are still in the midst of the probe and will inform you when something concrete comes up."
