Amid talk that he could be the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate with another victory in Gujarat, a buoyed Narendra Modi on Thursday remarked it was time to move 'forward'.
"No need of looking behind ...FORWARD...We want infinite energy, infinite courage, infinite patience..." Modi said on the microblogging site Twitter.
His tweet came in the wake of trends that the Gujarat chief minister was set to create a hat-trick by again leading the BJP to power.
However, party leaders were still not ready to go forthright on the issue.
"Modi bhai has always been an important leader in the BJP... We are not a dynastic party which is led by a Yuvaraj. We function in a pure democratic fashion," BJP chief Spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said.
He was asked whether the third straight victory in Gujarat has defined Modi as the prime ministerial candidate for the BJP for the next Lok Sabha election in 2014.
