Personnel of the State Reserve Police were deployed in Dabhoi town of Vadodara on Friday following recovery of bodies of two Muslim children from inside a car, police said. The bodies of Taheb Husain, 5, and Salman Shekh, 7, found in the car of a Vishwa Hindu Parishad activist Jagdish Pankit Thursday, were taken to SSG Hospital at Baroda for autopsy and would be later handed over to the respective families, they added.

Authorities have made elaborate security arrangements in the area and extra precaution is being taken in view of Friday prayers on Friday.

District Collector Rajeev Topno and Special IGP Rakesh Asthana, camping in the town, have held meeting with community leaders and urged them to maintain peace. Reports from Dabhoi had said that Pankit himself had informed police about the bodies in his car which had been lying unused for the past several years.
