Kimveer Gill, the Indian-origin man who went on a shooting spree, killing a young woman and injuring 20 people with his AK-47 rifle at Dawson College in Montreal city, committed suicide by shooting himself.
Autopsy results have shown that 25-year-old Gill died after he shot himself in the head, Jayson Gauthier spokesman of the Quebec Provincial police told reporters.
Police shot Gill in the arm before he turned his own weapon on himself and fired a bullet in the head, he said.
According to reports, Gill had hours before the attack posted pictures of himself on the internet with a rifle and said he was feeling "crazy" and "postal" and was drinking whiskey hours before the attack.
"Work sucks.. school sucks ... life sucks... what else can I say?.. Life is a video game you've got to die sometime," he wrote in his profile for a website vampirefreaks.com.
Gill, who lived with his mother in Laval, north Montreal had included a photo of a tombstone with the epitaph, "Lived fast died young. Left a mangled corpse."
He also said on his blog that he liked to play a role-playing Internet game about the Columbine High Schol shootings in Colarado and wanted to die "in a hail of gunfire."
