Four persons were injured on Tuesday night, two of them seriously, in a powerful improvised explosive device blast at a 'Raas-leela' pandal in lower Assam's Udalgiri district, police said.

Locals were enjoying the dance performances when a sudden blast after 8 pm left the four injured.

Police said the injured have been taken to a local hospital where the condition of two is stated to be serious.

The blast took place just few metres away from Udalgiri police station and the bus stand.

No militant group has so far taken responsibility of the blast.
