A fire broke out at a building in Ballard Pier area of south Mumbai Wednesday morning, fire brigade sources said.
"The fire broke out on the third floor of the ExchangeBuilding in Ballard Pier," fire brigade sources said.
Fifteen fire tenders have been rushed to the spot, they said, adding that there were no reports of any casualties in the incident.
Almost 90 per cent of the fire has been doused, and right now, thick smoke emerges from the building. The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit in an air-conditioning duct. The building has around 13 government offices in the building.
