Education ministers of Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states will meet party president M Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday and decide the future course of action vis-à-vis their decision not to revert to old NCERT textbooks.
They will discuss whether to participate in Wednesday's sitting of the two-day Central Advisory Board of Education meeting, Rajasthan Education Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari said in New Delhi.
Criticising the United Progressive Alliance government, he said, "If they are discussing education, we will attend the meeting today and if they continue to promote their political agenda, we will not."
Meanwhile, BJP sources said the ministers were likely to submit a memorandum to President A P J Abdul Kalam in this regard.
On Tuesday they boycotted the CABE meeting, saying they will not implement the UPA government's "arbitrary" decision to withdraw the textbooks.
