Flanked by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leaders, cricket captain Rahul Dravid recently told a gathering of students in a school in Nagpur, Maharashtra, that they should perform 'Surya Namaskar' regularly, according to Sangh organ Panchjanya.

"Daily 'Surya Namaskar' keeps the body healthy. I would tell each student gathered here to perform it regularly," the report quoted Dravid telling students at a 'suryanamaskar yagya' in Nagpur, home to the RSS headquarters. The cricketer also inaugurated the 'yagya,' it said.

It may be noted that the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh had triggered a row for introducing 'Surya Namaskar' as an optional exercise in state schools.
