Differences have been resolved amicably: K'taka BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka has claimed that all differences between them have been sorted out. The BJP leadership in New Delhi made it clear to the warring factions -- former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa's camp and the rival group led by BJP national general secretary H N Ananth Kumar and former minister Jagadish Shettar -- that there is no need approach the high command and to make truce in Bengaluru itself.  

Earlier, Shettar and state BJP president K S Eshwarappa called on newly-appointed CM Sadananda Gowda and discussed the formation of the cabinet. Following the meeting, it was decided

that they would amicably resolve all issues and have a cabinet in place in the next two or three days.

The Shettar faction, which had abstained from Gowda's swearing-in ceremony on Thursday, received a dressing down from leaders in New Delhi. They were advised to cooperate with the new leader and work as one party and not two factions.

Following this, pleasantries had been exchanged at Gowda's residence and the two factions claim that the issue had been resolved.

In the next couple of days, the BJP will submit a list of cabinet ministers to Governor HR Bhardwaj. A crucial meeting to finalise the list will be held on Sunday.
