After a tough contest of beauty and wits, 20-year-old Anuja Tyagi, was crowned Miss Delhi 2004 from among 25 participants.

While Sabina Haldar bagged the first runner up position, Meghna Kaushik emerged the second runner up in the contest held on Thursday night.

The preliminary round was held on February 24 at the Russian Centre to come up with a list of 25 contestants, organisers said. The list was pared down to 10 after a Question Answer round preceded by a saree round, casual dress round and a lehanga dress round.

From the list of 10, five were shortlisted for the final round.

Among the five sub-titles, Pooja Diwan won the Miss Photogenic contest and Sakshi Jain got the Miss Beautiful Smile prize. Meghna Kaushik was chosen Miss Catwalk, Shweta Bhatnagar won the Miss Talent title and Surbhi was chosen Miss Perfect Ten.

The judges comprised among others film producer Pahlaj Nihalani and model Rahul Bhatt.
