The chief of the New Delhi Municipal Corporation and senior IAS officer P M Singh was on Monday removed from her post in a fall-out of the CBI investigations into charges of corruption against the top brass of the Delhi Development Authority.
R Narayanswamy, an additional secretary in the Delhi government, was given the additional charge of NDMC chairperson while Singh was shifted back to the Delhi government.
Her removal is being linked to CBI raids at the office and residential premises of some top DDA officials on March 27 and their subsequent arrests.
Narayanswamy on Monday held a meeting with senior NDMC officials. He will be administered the oath of office on Tuesday.
