Following the encounter killing of wanted criminal Manoj Vashishtha in the Rajendra Nagar area of the national capital, the Delhi Police has announced that all members of the Special Cell involved in the incident shall be transferred.

“Manoj Vashishtha's family had asked Police Commissioner B S Bassi to transfer the officers who were involved in the case so that they don't influence the case. Bassi had assured them that their request would be looked into," Delhi Police PRO Rajan Bhagat said.

Vashishtha was shot dead by the Delhi Police in an encounter at the Sagar Ratna restaurant in city's Old Rajender Nagar market on Saturday (May 16) night.

Following the shoot-out, he was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
