Allahabad: Kidnapped contractor found dead

The body of a contractor kidnapped in Allahabad little over a week ago, has been recovered from a forest in Chitrakoot and two people have been arrested in this connection.

The body of 26-year-old Neeraj Agrawal who was abducted from a village near Allahabad on November 11, was found from Hanumanganj forest area in Chitrakoot district late on Saturday night, Deputy Inspector General, Allahabad Range, Akhilesh Mehrotra said.

The accused were picked up by the police during a routine patrol in the district and coincidentally, upon interrogation they confessed to slaying Agarwal at the behest of his former business partner Vineet Agrawal, he said.

A search is on to nab Vineet, Mehrotra added.
