Psychologists claimed that one's key personality traits can be identified by the way the person holds the glass while drinking.
A study carried out for the Walkabout bar chain has catagorised people as the 'Flirt', 'Gossip', 'Fun-Lover', 'Wallflower', 'Ice Queen', 'Playboy', 'Jack the Lad' and 'Browbeater'.
According to experts, all revellers fall into one of the eight personality types defined on the basis of their drinking techniques, The 'Telegraph
reported. Glenn Wilson, consultant psychologist at King's College, who analysed the body languages of over 500 drinkers in bars also suggested different ways to approach them.
He said the most open to being chatted up were the 'flirt, the playboy, and the funlover'.
Harder to crack are the 'Jack the Lad', the 'Ice Queen', the 'Wallflower' and the 'Gossip'. The 'Browbeater' should be avoided.
'The next time you're in a bar, it might be worth thinking about what you're saying to the people around you just by the way you're holding your glass,' Wilson said.
