Arvind Kejriwal is in no mood to relent. After hitting out at the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, the Delhi chief minister took on the Centre by attacking the Central Bureau of Investigation.
In a no holds barred attack against the Centre over CBI raids at Delhi Secretariat, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal revealed on Twitter, “A CBI officer told me yesterday that nodal agency has been asked to target all opposition parties and finish those who don’t fall in line.”
Kejriwal also retweeted a post that quoted sources as saying that after the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Bihar election defeat, “(PM Narendra) Modi has been weakened so others also have to be weaker”.
Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that the CBI raid on Tuesday was aimed at searching Kejriwal’s office for files on what they call massive corruption in the capital’s cricket board, the DDCA, which Jaitley headed for 13 years till 2013.
Jaitley rubbished the allegations, saying he has had nothing to do with cricket for years.
“Delhi CM Kejriwal seems to believe in untruth and defamation, delivered in language that borders on hysteria. No personal allegation was ever made against me nor did I ever feel the need of contradicting it,” he said on Thursday.
The Anti-Corruption Branch had on December 9 questioned Rajender Kumar in connection with alleged irregularities in conducting fitness tests for commercial vehicles. According to ACB sources, the queries mostly revolved around action taken by Kumar after the anti-corruption bureau submitted a report in 2013 in connection with the alleged irregularities.
