Ashok Chand, deputy comssioner, Crime Branch, told rediff.com on Saturday evening that Reoti Raman Singh, another senior leader of Samajvadi party would be questioned by sleuths at Chanakyapuri Police station.
On Friday, the former general secretary of Samajvadi party was grilled for his alleged role in cash for vote scam for three hours.
Singh had introduced Bharatiy Janata Party members of Parliament to Sanjeev Saxena and Suhail Hindustani, who distributed Rs one crore to the three BJP members of parliament.
"Amar Singh was confronted with the statements of Sanjeev and Suhail during the interrogation. But it would not be proper for me to divulge details of the investigation," Chand said.
"In next two or three days we have to file the status report before the apex court,"he said.
When asked if the crime branch is planning to summon Amar Singh again Ashok Chand said that it would be too early to say anything right now.
"Our immediate task is to prepare the status report after talking to Reoti Raman. We can think about calling Amar Singh later," he said.
Amar Singh was allowed to go home after the interrogation but he chose not to speak to the waiting newsmen outside the interrogation centre. According to sources though he denied any link with Saxena and Suhail he was rattled by the intensive questioning.
Questioning of ex-aide of L K Advani S. Kulkarni and three members of parliament of the BJP could take place during the next weekend.
