Young Kashmiri businessman shot dead in Canada

Gaurav Bazaz, a young Kashmiri businessman, has been shot dead in Toronto in Canada by unidentified persons.

Gaurav, 29, father of a three-year-old girl, was shot in his head as he left the washroom of a North York office on June 19, according to the information received by his family.

Gaurav was the youngest son of the president of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Front, Bushan Bazaz, who is a close
friend of senior Hurriyat

leader, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq.

Gaurav ran a financial and mortgage business company named after his daughter, Tamanna.

His elder brother, Kalhan Bazaz, was leaving for Canada on Monday night to perform the last rites of Gaurav.

Reports from Toronto said Gaurav had called his wife before he was shot at 6 pm (local time) asking her to pick him up.

When she was on her way to his office, a co-worker called her telling her about the incident.
