Passengers waiting at the public bus stand in Kalpetta, Kerala on Tuesday were shocked and embarrassed as TV screens across the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation depot started playing porn.

The porn show went on uninterrupted for 30 minutes before local officials disconnected the cable wires.

The incident took place around 10.30 am during the peak hours. IBTimesIndia reported that several embarrassed women and students who were at the bus stand quickly left the depot.

The incident apparently occurred due to a mix up by the cable operator, who confused between his personal USB containing the porn video and another drive. He was later arrested by the police.

Not knowing what to do scandalised bystanders tried to cover up the TV with clothes, but the TV blared audio at high volume. The video that played for 30 minutes could not be stopped as the remote control was locked up away in the operator's room.

The police have booked the 38-year-old- cable operator Manzoor under section 292 of the Indian Penal Code (obscene and indecent advertisement and display), the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, and various sections of the Information Technology Act.
