Five Left parties on Sunday gave a call for a bandh in Bihar on August 24.
The bandh is in support of their demand to immediately recall Governor Buta Singh and his adviser Arun Pathak.
The Left parties, including the Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist Leninist), Forward Block and the Revolutionary Socialist Party, have joined hands for the Bihar bandh. However, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has not supported the call.

CPI(ML) leader Ramjatan Sharma said the Left parties, except the CPI(M), had come together to demand the recall of Buta Singh and Arun Pathak for creating an 'administrative crisis' in the state and for their 'failure' in checking the rising crime graph.
CPI leader Jalaluddin Ansari claimed that the law and order situation in the state had worsened from what it had been during the previous Rabri Devi government.
"Buta Singh has failed to keep the crime graph under check and nothing has changed in the state," he said.
CPI(ML) leader Sharma alleged that Buta Singh had transferred Siwan superintendent of police Ratn Sanjay who had tried to arrest RJD MP Md Shahbuddin, against whom over half a dozen non-bailable warrants of arrest were pending.
