Mumbai: 6-year-old dies in Kurla building collapse

A six-year-old child has died and 10 others have been injured after a four-storeyed building collapsed in Mumbai's suburban Kurla late Wednesday night. 

Several people are feared trapped inside the debris still, fire brigade officials said.

"Rafiq Estate, a residential building in Qureshi Nagar area of Kurla, caved in at around 12.30 am," an official said.

The 10 people injured in the incident have been rushed to nearby hospitals. Some more people are feared trapped inside, they added.

Nine fire engines have reached the spot and a rescue operation is on at the site.
