BSF foils infiltration bid in Samba, intruder killed

The Border Security Force on Saturday foiled an infiltration bid along the international border in Samba district, killing an intruder.

There was movement of suspected persons along the International Border in Kulian-Suchetpur Border Out Posts

in Samba district in the wee hours, police said.

BSF troops of 09 Battalion challenged them and opened fire following which Pakistani troops fired at Indian forward posts to give cover fire to the infiltrators.

There was heavy exchange of fire between the two sides in which an infiltrator was killed, they said.
