Retired Lieutenant General Tejender Singh on Tuesday refuted allegations that he had offered bribe to Army Chief V K Singh and said that no conversation related to any purchase or deal took place the last time he had met him.

"I had last met General V K Singh sometimes in September 2010 which is more than year and a half ago, and it was on a personal matter which I don't want to elaborate at this stage," Singh said.

"At that stage no conversation at all had taken place about any purchases or any deal regarding this truck Tatra which is being alleged right now," he said.

Tejender Singh also said that he did not work for Tatra and all such allegation against him did not have an iota of truth.

"I do not work for Tatra and I do not represent it. Therefore, it should be logical to assume that I could not have offered him such a huge amount as is being talked about," Singh said.

"There is not an iota of truth in what the allegations are. Obviously they should have been investigated at that time," he said.

Singh also said that his relationship with the Army chief was only professional.

"I was never close to him. He was not available to me and I had a total professional relationship with him," Tejender Singh said.

Meanwhile, Tejinder Singh's lawyer said that he had filed a defamation suit in court against all those accusing his client of wrong doing.
