The body of an Indian perfume seller, who went missing last month, was washed ashore in Bahrain near the King Fahd Causeway after drifting in the Saudi waters for many days.

The man, identified as Kishore Kumar Kombath, had gone missing from his Riyadh home on May 15.

Kombath, 38, was running a perfume shop in Riyadh for 12 years, his friends said.

They believe he may have committed suicide because of severe financial problems, the Arab News daily reported.

He leaves behind his wife Kishori and seven-year-old daughter, Supridha.

A survey conducted in cooperation with seven Asian diplomatic missions in Riyadh has shown that incidence of suicide among Asian workers is rising, with some 60 deaths reported every year.
