"It is beyond our understanding," was all the Bharatiya Janata Party could say in reaction to Priyanka Vadra's meeting with one of the conspirators in her father Rajiv Gandhi's assassination.
"The visit was incomprehensible and beyond our understanding," party spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said.
Priyanka had earlier in the day confirmed her meeting with Nalini Sriharan, one of the conspirators in the former prime minister's assassination, last month in Vellore Central Jail.
Nalini's death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment after Congress president Sonia Gandhi pleaded for clemency for the sake of the convict's daughter.
