BJP to hold e-governance meet in Mumbai

The Bhartiya Janata Party is organising a two-day national convention on 'e-governance for good governance' from October 4 at the Yashwantrao Chavan Pratisthan in Mumbai.

According to its national information technology cell in New Delhi, the conference will be attended by the IT ministers, IT secretaries, e-governance officials and IT advisers of the BJP-ruled states

as also BJP mayors.

BJP President Nitin Gadkari will open the conference with a lecture on the "technology-based governance," followed by a 4-hour long plenary session on "IT for corruption free and citizen friendly governance.

IT for Antyodaya-oriented development and IT for large-scale employment generation are the two other subjects selected for discussion on the second day on October 5.
