The fate of Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, who is mired in controversy over allegations of land allotment, will be decided in the next two or three days.

Yeddyurappa will be visiting new New Delhi to meet with Bharatiya Janata Party high command in another three days. Earlier, he had informed that he would be leaving for Delhi on Thursday night but changed his plans in the last minute.

While he would meet with the high command in the next couple of days, national BJP chief within Nitin Gadkari will be visiting Bengaluru on November 25 to hold discussions with the party leaders on how to handle the situation.

The Yeddyurappa camp is, however, confident of tiding through this crisis and says that they have initiated a judicial probe into the allotment of land. They are confident that the CM will come clean on the matter.

Earlier the CM ordered a judicial probe into the allotment of land in the last 10 years. The probe would be either headed by a retired judge of either the Supreme Court or the Karnataka high court.

The terms of reference of this commission would be decided by the CM who is facing charges of allotting government land to his daughter and also allotting land in favour of his sons.

Meanwhile, opposition Janata Dal-Secular has filed a complaint with the Lokayukta of Karnataka stating that Yeddyurappa was involved in a scam worth Rs 5,000 crore in which he had denitrified lands to favour members of his family.

Yeddyurappa has however said that the judicial probe will bring out the correct picture and dismissed any claims that the high command was unhappy with him.

Earlier, Yeddyurappa dismissed suggestions that BJP chief Nitin Gadkari and RSS were not happy with him and ruled out leadership change in Karnataka.
