"It has the signature tone of one swan song and that can be characterised by only one word negativism," Tewari said adding the resolutions passed by the BJP in its meet did not have any informed critique of government performance but only "made virtue of gloom of doom".
The Congress spokesperson in particular targeted Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for "behaving like the sultan of the BJP and demanding the head of another party leader even before the party meeting."
Tewari had on Thursday also hit out at Modi over Joshi's resignation calling it proof of "dictatorship" in BJP.
The Congress spokesperson also taunted the party over senior BJP leaders L K Advani and Sushama Swaraj staying away from a rally.
"Top leaders of BJP do not consider it necessary to participate in the concluding part of their party's national executive meeting. While another former chief minister (B S Yeddyurappa) openly criticises the working chairman (L K Advani)," Tewari pointed out.
Dismissing BJP's prediction that the days of the United Progressive Alliance government are numbered and its criticism of the government on many counts, Tewari said that BJP has not reconciled to its rejection by people twice. "This has put them in a spiral from where they cannot imagine anything positive."
