Flight services in Mangalore were suspended briefly on Thursday when a bison strayed on to the runway of the Bajpe airport.

The incident has once again raised security concerns at the Bajpe airport, which had two years ago witnessed one of the worst air crashes in
Indian aviation history.

The bison was spotted near the runway early Thursday morning.

When the staff tried to chase it away it ran and created havoc.

According to forest department officials the bison had trotted into the runway from the near by forest area.
