A minor schoolboy Mudit Jain abducted nearly 10 days ago was released on Wednesday morning in Purnea district in Bihar. Police killed two abductors in its operation to free Mudit.

Purnea Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar said that Jain was sent to his home after a safe release. Police was under tremendous pressure for over a week and after getting information raided a house in Katihar where abductors had kept Mudit and freed him, he said.

Police was criticised by people for failure to recover Mudit Jain, a Class IV student of Zila School who was kidnapped in broad daylight by criminals. Mudit was on his way to school to participate in the Independence Day function.
