After 25 students of a government-run school were attacked and bitten by a group of monkeys in Bihar's Kishanganj district, authorities were forced to shut it down, officials said on Saturday.

Khagra Middle School in Kishanganj, about 350 km from Patna, has been shut down on Friday following the menace of
monkeys over the last three days. "Fearing monkeys, students refused to attend the school, "a district official said.

According to local police officials, school authorities have sought help to get rid of the menace. "We have suggested that the school should approach forest officials," a police said.
