A fast track court in Bihar's Gaya district on Monday sentenced to life imprisonment three convicted men in the gangrape case of a Japanese woman tourist near Bodh Gaya on April 16. The decision came after a speedy trial was conducted in the case.

The court also fined Rs 10,000 each to the three sentenced to life imprisonment in the case.

Earlier, the court has found the three accused -- Uday, Anuj alias Lutan and Pappu Kumar --
guilty of raping the Japanese tourist near Bodh Gaya.

The 25-year-old Japanese woman was allegedly gangraped by five people, including an autorickshaw driver, on April 16, when she was on her way back to the Gaya railway station.

Three of the five accused were arrested last month and arrest warrants were issued against the two absconding; their property was also attached.
