In a shocking incident in Bihar's Katihar district, a 10-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death by a man for cutting grass in his field for her cattle, police on Friday said.
A police official said Rinku Kumari was lynched by land owner Suman Kumar Yadav at Pokharia village in the district.
"She was mercilessly beaten to death when the accused spotted her cutting grass in his field," a police official told rediff.com.
The girl's father Subodh Yadav has lodged a complaint in the local police station.
The police are investigating the case.
