Board of Cricket Control in India chief and India Cements Managing Director N Srinivasan on Monday appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation in connection with the disproportionate assets cases against YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Srinivasan was directed to appear before the CBI last week and a summons had been issued to him in this regard.

The BCCI chief had claimed that his company was in the clear and he had explained everything in detail in the past. He also said that he is willing to extend all possible cooperation to the CBI.

Srinivasan landed in Hyderabad early on Monday and headed to the Dilkusha Guest House, where he is being questioned by a couple of CBI officials.

According to sources, the questioning is likely to last till evening and may continue on Tuesday.

It has been alleged that India Cements had benefited heavily during the YSR regime in terms of additional water allocation.

It is alleged that his investments in Jagan owned companies earned him favours such as additional water allocation, the CBI has alleged in its charge-sheet.
