A woman, posing as a scientist, was arrested on Tuesday by the Central Industrial Security Force, when she tried to enter the campus of the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bangalore.

At the time of her arrest fake identity cards were recovered from her. She has been sent to judicial custody till October 6.

The 40-year-old woman has been identified as Buela Shah and hails from Ahmedabad. She said she wanted to see the ISRO headquarters and hence tried to gain an entry. She is married
to a high school teacher from Kerala.

The Intelligence Bureau has commenced investigations in the case after the arrest on September 22.

Although the police have termed her as mentally unstable and said that she was suffering from depression, the IB wants to investigate the case further.

The question being asked if this was just a stray incident and the woman was mentally ill how did she have fake identification on her. This is an indication that the breach could be pre-planned, say sources.
